PURPOSE: A method for controlling power of a mobile communication system is provided to divide a terminal into 3 areas, depending on whether a receiving level of the terminal is near to or far from a reference power level, and to differentiate a power controlling method according to each area, thereby exactly controlling power. CONSTITUTION: A base station measures receiving power of each terminal, and controls the power in order to converge to a reference power level(S101). A base station operator divides a base station receiving power level into 3 areas, and differentiates a controlling method according to each area(S102). If the base station receiving power is in the first area, the base station commands to decrease terminal transmission power(S105). If the base station receiving power exists in the second area, the base station commands to increase the terminal transmission power(S108). |
