<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a rare earth based bond magnet which satisfies a high heat resistance and a high corrosion resistance without spoiling a moldability, a magnetic property, a mechanical strength and the like which have been required from the past. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition for a rare earth bond based magnet is made by blending polyamide-imide resin and rare earth metal powder. It is preferred that the polyamide-imide resin has a glass transition temperature of 150°C or above and that at least anhydrous trimellitic acid of 20 mol % as an acid component is copolymerized.
