<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a ceramic slurry, by which the included amount of impurities into the slurry in a preparing process of a raw material is suppressed to a quite small amount, a ceramic green sheet obtained by drying the slurry, and a high purity sintered compact obtained by firing the green sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic slurry containing a ceramic raw material powder_(alumina powder, zirconia powder, or the like) is obtained by using a ball mill equipped with balls formed from a ceramic sintered compact (for example, alumina, zirconia, or the like) and having surface roughness of ≤1 μm. The ceramic green sheet is obtained by using the ceramic slurry, and the ceramic sintered compact having a purity of ≥99.9 mass % can be obtained by firing the green sheet.
