<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a hybrid IC card 10. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit/contact IC card interface 25 is arranged among a contact-type reader/writer 15, a contact IC memory chip 26 and a contactless IC memory chip 30, and it accesses memory space of the contact IC memory chip 26 as memory space of a standard area and accesses memory space of the contactless IC memory chip 30 as memory space of an expansion area. A control circuit/contactless IC card interface 29 transmits/receives data with an antenna 20 by a radio wave and it is located among the antenna 20, the contactless IC memory chip 26 and the contactless IC memory chip 30.
