<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and stably perform a synchronous control even in the case of causing instantaneous load fluctuation with which the following of synchronous is made difficult. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt 10 and a secondary transfer belt 24 which perform surface migration while facing each other are separately driven by a 1st driving motor 13 and a 2nd driving motor 29 at fixed relative velocity. The synchronous control of the surface migration velocity of them is performed by a control part 12 so that the fixed relative velocity is maintained with reference to the intermediate transfer belt and the secondary transfer belt. The moment the load is applied by an impact when the transfer paper P enters a transfer nip between the intermediate transfer belt and the secondary transfer belt, the synchronous control is temporarily stopped. Then, the control part is prevented from performing an erroneous control of enlarging the relative velocity difference between the intermediate transfer belt and the secondary transfer belt, then, the synchronous control can be continuously and stably performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
