An intraruminal device suitable for administration to ruminants using a capsule (13) with a cavity for a spring (14) and a spring cap (15) and medicament tablets (16), secured by a dissolvable cap (10) which will gradually dissolve upon contact with ruminal fluid allowing the release of the cap, the contents of the capsule, and allow the movement of the arms (11) from a closed to an open extended position ensuring retention within the rumen of the animal.
