METHOD FOR CONTROLLING POWER OF VIDEO COMMUNICATION TERMINALS THROUGH NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for controlling power of video communication terminals through a network is provided to efficiently and conveniently manage power and operation states of a plurality of video communication terminals. CONSTITUTION: A server periodically receives operation signals from a plurality of video communication terminals connected with a network(S10). The server analyzes the operation signals for judging whether the video communication terminals are turned off or operate abnormally(S11). If so, the server transmits ring signals to the video communication terminals(S13). A power management unit of each video communication terminal judges whether the ring signal is inputted through the network(S14). If so, the power management unit outputs a control signal for turning on the video communication terminal and applying external power to the video communication terminal(S16). If the video communication terminal is turned on, the power management unit outputs a control signal for resetting the video communication terminal(S17).
