FIXING DEVICE FOR FLAT CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a smooth movement of a flat cable and a reinforcing sheet even when the interval between a main frame and a carriage is narrowed.

SOLUTION: In the device 51 for fixing flat cables 53 and 54 being led out from the back of a main frame 67 and routed linearly along the front thereof before the end part thereof is connected with the carriage 23 while being looped and for fixing a reinforcing sheet 57 for protecting the flat cables 53 and 54, a part 65 for restraining the flat cables 53 and 54 and the reinforcing sheet 57 is provided at the curved loop back part 61 of the flat cables 53 and 54 and the reinforcing sheet 57 being formed in the outer space of the carriage 23 when the carriage 23 is located at the end part in the main scanning direction.
