<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively construct a commodity purchase system by using an existing automatic vending machine. <P>SOLUTION: When a commodity purchaser depresses a key of an automatic vending machine 10, a commodity selection management part 13 recognizes a commodity number of a commodity of the key and an amount settlement management part 12 recognizes a price of the commodity. A portable telephone commodity purchase unit 20 acquires the commodity number and the price and transmits the commodity number and the price to the Web site 50 of the automatic vending machine manager via the Internet 60 through an Internet access site of a portable telephone company and a settlement system 40 when a settlement key 23 is depressed. The Web site 50 of the automatic vending machine manager gives an instruction on settlement of the purchased commodity to the Internet access site of the portable telephone company and the settlement system 40.
