LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode and its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: This light emitting diode comprises a transparent substrate 51, semiconductor material layers 53 and 54 including an light emitting active layer 57 formed on the top surface of the substrate, a fluorescent layer 59 formed on the back surface of the substrate 51 in varied thicknesses. This realizes generation of white light in homogeneous color profile by adjusting the thickness of the fluorescent layer to control the emission ratio of various wavelength light generated at the light-emitting layer.
