<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a electric brake device in which there is no need to provide the mechanism putting a parking brake in electrical braking condition, braking power can be generated even when the braking operation to an operating member is done under the condition that a driver remains in a vehicle for a long period of time, further which can prevent to consume electric power in vain. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 23 continues monitoring of the operating member 24 by a monitoring means 25 when detecting the presence of a person in the vehicle by a detecting means 30, and stops the monitoring of the operating member 24 by the monitoring means 25 when detecting the absence of a person in the vehicle by the detecting device 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
