<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for preventing toner supply from temporarily becoming excessive or deficient to cause variation in toner density when a process speed is varied. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a process speed setting part 36 which sets the process speed for forming an image, a density sensor 8 which is incorporated in a developing unit and detects the toner density, a supply part 7 which supplies toner to the developing unit, and a control part 35 which adjusts the amount of the toner supplied from the supply part to the developing unit according to specified logic.
