<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the color slurring quantity within an image or between images formed on an intermediate transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: The rotational frequency of a polygon motor 35 is varied and controlled according to a belt thickness and the start of horizontal scan exposure and exposure timing are modulated to decrease the color slurring quantity generated owing to thickness unevenness distributed over the entire circumference of an intermediate transfer belt 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
