<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate color slurring correcting device capable of always performing color slurring correction in appropriate timing without causing the increase of downtime more than necessary and the fluctuation of color slurring exceeding tolerance even when the relation of the fluctuation of the detected temperature by a temperature sensor inside an image forming apparatus to the fluctuation of color slurring differs according to various printing states. <P>SOLUTION: The color slurring correcting device has a 1st temperature detection means for detecting temperature near an image forming means or an endless belt or a transfer means and a 2nd temperature detection means for detecting in-machine temperature other than the temperature detected by the 1st temperature detection means. By deciding the timing to actuate a color slurring correction means based on a temperature difference between the 1st and the 2nd temperature detection means at the time of actuating the color slurring correction means and the fluctuation of the detected temperature by at least either temperature detection means, color slurring correcting operation is always performed in the appropriate timing without causing the increase of downtime more than necessary and the fluctuation of the color slurring exceeding the tolerance even when the relation of the fluctuation of the detected temperature by the temperature sensor inside the apparatus to the fluctuation of the color slurring differs according to the various printing states. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
