<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a retransmission controlling method capable of appropriately allocating retransmission data to a subcarrier whose line quality is always satisfactory and suppressing throughput deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: In this retransmission controlling method, a mobile station measures the receiving line quality of each subcarrier or of each subcarrier group, returns the line quality and further requests retransmission if there is an error in received data. A base station requested for retransmission uses a subcarrier other than a subcarrier or subcarrier group determined to be unused on the basis of prescribed information about the line quality and transmits retransmission data.
