<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup fan switching structure capable of easily quickly switching a fan to a backup fan when the fan fails to properly operate, having sealing performance and less pressure loss. <P>SOLUTION: The backup fan switching structure comprises two cooling fans 2, 3 arranged in an apparatus 1, and drives the fan 3 when the fan 2 fails to properly operate. The two cooling fans 2, 3 are aligned in a V shape so as to be adjacent with each other, and block plates 7a, 7b set in a V shape at an angle smaller than the V-shape angle of the cooling fans are arranged between the cooling fans 2, 3 so as to be turnable around a gap between the cooling fans 2, 3. When one block plate 7a opens an exhaust port 4b of the backup fan 3 that has started operation, the other block plate 7b closes an exhaust port of the other backup fan that has failed to properly operate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
