<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image receiving sheet which shows superior transferability when an image formed on a thermal transfer sheet by laser irradiation and heating is transferred to an image receiving sheet and the transferred image is retransferred to paper, and high sensitivity/adhesion resistance and forms a retransferred image of high resolution, a multicolor imaging material consisting of the thermal transfer sheet and a multicolor imaging method using the multicolor imaging material. <P>SOLUTION: The multicolor imaging material comprises an image receiving sheet with a cushioning layer and an image receiving layer formed on a support and four kinds of the thermal transfer sheet such as yellow, magenta, cyan and black with a photothermal conversion layer and an imaging layer formed on the support. The Ra value and the Rz value showing the surface irregularities of the image receiving sheet satisfy 3 ≤ Rz/Ra ≤ 20 and 0.5 μm ≤ Rz ≤ 3 μm. The coefficient of elasticity of the cushioning layer at 25°C is 1 Mpa or more and the glass transition temperature of the cushioning layer is 40°C or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
