<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the lowering of a saturated concentration and the increase of an erasing concentration in repeated use even in a reversible thermal recording material which can form/erase an image by heating and hold the image with the passage of time in a living environment. <P>SOLUTION: In the reversible thermal recording material, a reversible thermal recording layer containing a usually colorless or hypochromic leuco dye and a reversible developer which colors the leuco dye by heating and makes it achromatic by re-heating is formed on at least on one surface of a support.
