PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mother glass substrate for a multiple electroluminescence element seal plate and a mother glass substrate for a multiple electroluminescence element glass substrate capable of easily positioning an electroluminescence display glass substrate and an electroluminescence display seal plate.

SOLUTION: A seal plate mother glass 10 has two alignment marks 13 and 14 of hemispherical recess-shape each having a 0.01 mm radius at corners on a diagonal axis on one surface. A glass plate mother glass 20 has two alignment marks 21 and 22 of hemispherical recess-shape each having a 0.01 mm radius at corners on a diagonal axis on one surface. The seal plate mother glass 10 and the glass plate mother glass 20 are positioned by matching the center point of the alignment mark 13 and the center point of the alignment mark 21 when viewed from the Z direction, and by matching the center point of the alignment mark 14 and the center point of the alignment mark 22.
