<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately restrain a recording medium from wrapping around a fixing side rotatable member. <P>SOLUTION: A pressure belt 19 forming a nip part with a fixing roller 18 is passed over a driving roller 50 and a driven roller 51, and formed of non-conductive material. Charge opposite in polarity to an unfixed image (toner) T carried on an sheet 103 is applied to the belt 19 from its surface side by a charge roller 58. When the sheet 103 comes into contact with the belt 19, the sheet is polarized with the result that its attractive force to the belt 19 is increased. Since the sheet 103 passes through the nip part in a state where it is attracted to the belt 19, it is restrained or prevented from wrapping around the roller 18 due to the welding of the toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
