<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an alignment mark, by which the precision of positioning of a glass plate to another glass plate is improved, and to provide the alignment mark formed by the method. <P>SOLUTION: An electroluminescence (EL) display 10 is composed of a glass substrate 11 and a sealing plate 12 adhered on the glass substrate 11, the sealing plate 12 is formed at the central part of the bottom face of a substantially cylindrical recessed part 31, and has an alignment mark 18 which is a substantially cylindrical protrusion part of which the height of the top face is equal to a sealed part 17, the alignment mark 18 is formed by sticking a masking 42 on a surface 41 of a glass base plate 40 which is a mother member of the sealing plate 12, and a masking 44 on the whole surface 41 to form an etching part 43 coaxially with the masking 42, and etching the glass base plate 40 on which the maskings 42 and 44 are stuck. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
