<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately suppress the occurrence of an abnormal void image by correctly shaving off deposit on the surface of a photoreceptor while observing a dot area ratio in an electrophotographic device using a two-component developer. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with: a dot area ratio counter 51; a grinding blade 21 to eliminate deposited foreign substance on the surface of the photoreceptor 1; and a contact pressure control means (a motor for moving the grinding blade 55 and its control means) for controlling the contact pressure of the grinding blade with the surface of the photoreceptor. In the image forming process, the contact pressure of the grinding blade is controlled to a high pressure or a low pressure in accordance with the level of the dot area ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
