<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-theft device for a vehicle allowing an engine to operate by surely determining the permission or the no-permission of the use of the vehicle with identifying information without being subject to the influence of operation failure or interference. <P>SOLUTION: When traveling the vehicle having both a portable machine 18 and an immobilization key 20, a control unit 12 prohibits processing of sending and receiving a signal for checking the identifying information with the portable machine 18. Only immobilizer unit 32 sends and receives the signal for checking the identifying information with the immobilization key 20, and outputs a first engine operation permission signal to an engine control unit 30 according to a result to be checked to enable operation of the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
