PURPOSE: A slide member is provided to increase the abrasion resistance and the adhesive property, and to more reduce the friction coefficient. CONSTITUTION: The slide member includes: a basic member; and a coating layer composed of a dry coating lubricant. One surface of the basic member for the slide member is provided with such a streak as the roughness of the surface has 10 micro mRz, averagely 8 to 18 micro mRz. The dry coating lubricant has a layer improving agent of more than at least one, selected among polyamide resin, epoxysilane and epoxy resin, and a hard particle of more than at least one, selected among silicon nitride and alumina. The coating layer comes to be formed on at least one surface of the material which is to be a slide surface.
