CHOPPER COMPARATOR HAVING PLURAL LOGIC GATES FOR COMPARING INPUT VOLTAGE WITH REFERENCE VOLTAGE

PURPOSE: A chopper comparator having plural logic gates for comparing an input voltage with a reference voltage is provided to prevent generation of penetrate current and reduce current consumption by blocking an inverter circuit during an inactive period. CONSTITUTION: A chopper comparator includes a plurality of logic gates of an input stage and a logic gate of an output stage. Each logic gate includes an inverter circuit and a plurality of transistors. The transistors are used for controlling a connecting state and a disconnecting state of the inverter circuit. An operation signal is supplied to the transistors in order to control operations of the logic gates of the input and the output stages. The inverter circuit is not operated while all operations of the chopper comparator are stopped by the operation signal.
