PURPOSE: A latching device is provided to reduce noise by arranging an eccentric sleeve in a wanted position according to the rotating direction of a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION: An eccentric sleeve is integrally rotated with an eccentric pin(32) of a crankshaft(30) after rotating to a necessary position against the eccentric pin according to the rotating direction of the crankshaft. An eccentric weight portion(36) is formed in the eccentric sleeve to generate the centrifugal force according to the rotation of the crankshaft. A latching pin(38) is installed in the eccentric pin to integrally rotate the eccentric sleeve with the crankshaft. Hanging ends(37a,37b) to hang the latching pin are formed in the eccentric sleeve. A connecting rod(42) to transfer the rotating force of the crankshaft to the piston is formed in the eccentric pin by including the eccentric sleeve. Interference prevention portions are formed around the eccentric pin. Each interference prevention portion is formed in the external circumference of the eccentric pin corresponding to the upper part and the lower part of a smaller end in the connecting rod. Thereby, noise to be generated by the transformation of the eccentric sleeve is prevented.
