PURPOSE: A room lamp for a vehicle is provided to apply power to the room lamp with a battery or a charger after separating the room lamp from a head lining in checking recessed parts in the interior room of the vehicle or inspecting the exterior parts of the vehicle at night by separating and attaching the room lamp installed to the head lining from/to the head lining. CONSTITUTION: A room lamp for a vehicle includes an installing bracket(200), a hanging device(300), and the room lamp. The installing bracket is connected to a roof panel(510) through a head lining(520) and composed of a first ground terminal(220) installed at the inside and connected with a first connector(210) and an inserting hole(230) and an installing hole(240) formed at both sides. The hanging device has the elastic force by a spring(312) and comprises a hanging tool(311) protruded to the installing hole and a switch(313) for moving the hanging tool to the side. The room lamp includes a second ground terminal(120), a cover, a receiving groove installed to the upper end of a housing(100), an inserting tool(130) and a hanging groove(140) formed at both sides, respectively, and a lamp(150) and a power switch(160) arranged at the lower end. Accordingly, the room lamp for the vehicle lights up recessed parts in the vehicle or effectively repairs the exterior parts of the vehicle at night by separating the room lamp fixed to the head lining, putting a battery or a charger into the receiving groove, closing the cover, and then applying power.
