PURPOSE: A timing chain noise reduction device is provided to improve an impact noise and a friction noise by removing a guide installed to a side of a timing chain and executing active control through a non-contact sensor and an actuator. CONSTITUTION: In a timing chain noise reduction device, a timing chain noise reduction unit is disposed in the middle of a timing chain(5) installed on the side of a crankshaft and a camshaft on a side of an engine. The timing chain reduction unit comprises a lateral vibration-detecting part(11) detecting and outputting lateral vibration of the timing chain through non-contact with the timing chain; a signal-amplifying part(13) amplifying and outputting a lateral vibration signal detected and applied from the lateral vibration-detecting part; a control part(15) calculating a lateral vibration-amplifying signal applied from the signal-amplifying part by a set program and outputting an opposite signal for removing the lateral vibration signal; a power-amplifying part(17) amplifying and outputting the signal output from the control part; and an output part(19) receiving a signal output from the power-amplifying part and outputting predetermined electromagnetic waves opposite to the lateral vibration produced through non-contact with the timing chain.
