The suture anchor comprises a long body (7) having a rounded point at the distal part (7a). There is an interior cavity (6) open at its proximal end for the introduction of an insertion tool head (3). There are N sets of longitudinal slots (9) emerging in the cavity in a median zone (7c) between the distal and proximal (7b) parts delimiting n lateral branches (10) deformable under radial pressures. One or more fins (11a,11b,11c) which are engaged in the bone cavity are located on each of the lateral branches. An Independent claim is included for an insertion tool.
