<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric material for a plasma display panel having a thermal expansion coefficient suitable for a front glass substrate, preventing bubbles from easily remaining in a baked film even when a dielectric layer having a thickness of 30 to 40 μm is formed at one baking, suppressing reaction with electrodes, and capable of forming a transparent dielectric layer having no large bubbles remaining near the electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric material for the plasma display panel is composed of 80 to 100 mass % glass powder and 0 to 20 mass % ceramic powder. In this material the glass powder contains, by mass, 3 to 25% BaO, 25 to 60% ZnO, 15 to 35% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 3 to 30% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 0.2 to 6% Li<SB>2</SB>O, and 0 to 1.5% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
