<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly speedily output a job in which one-sided printing and both-sided printing coexist, in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine or a printer, which is capable of both-sided printing. <P>SOLUTION: In the case where one-sided printing and both-sided printing coexist in one and the same printing job, one-side page of both-sided printing pages located after a group of one-sided printing pages is allowed to use an inverting path in succession prior to the group of one-sided printing pages. Thereafter, the group of the one-sided printing pages are printed and ejected. Subsequently, the remaining one-side page of the both-sided printing pages is printed and ejected.
