<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for electronic commerce for trading a certificate of environmental improvement/goods with the certificate via a communication network. <P>SOLUTION: The method for electronic commerce is for trading the certificate of environmental improvement/goods with the certificate via the communication network by interconnecting using the network the terminal devices owned by a supplier, a buyer, and a certificate/goods trading center. (a) The supplier sends to the center certificate information about the certificate of environmental improvement and/or certificated goods information about the goods with the certificate. (b) The center stores and accumulates the certificate information/the certificated goods information. (c) The buyer sends the certificate information/a certificate requesting the certificated goods information/goods information request information to the center and sends certificate/certificated goods purchase information desired to the supplier via the center.
