PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver and a remote control transmitter-receiver capable of not only facilitating URL entries and the generation of electronic mail but also protecting personal information by not displaying electronic mail on the television receiver but displaying the electronic mail on a remote controller. SOLUTION: The television receiver 100 having an Internet access, electronic mail transmission/reception, and display means and the remote controller 1 thereof are provided with: a means for performing the URL entries for the Internet access, operations to browse home pages, and the generation of electronic mail through manual entries using a touch panel 4 of the remote controller; a transmission means 8 for transferring the entries; a transmission means 105 for transferring the electronic mail received by the television receiver to the remote controller; and a display circuit for displaying the electronic mail on the touch panel of the remote controller.
