A microcapsule comprising an encapsulated material which is enclosed within a solid permeable shell of a polymer resin (made by isocyante polymerisation). The polymer resin has at least surface modifying compounds incorporated into it, which is capable of reacting with the isocyante moiety of the polymer resin. A process for its production is also disclosed.
