<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy terminal which shortens the working time required for the reading of identification information and temperature measurement of an article, collects precise data, and reduces the cost with easiness of handling. <P>SOLUTION: This device has a bar code reading part 31 for reading a bar code attached to the article, and a temperature measurement part 32 for measuring the temperature of the article in no contact by an infrared sensor. When the bar cord is read by the bar code reading part 31, the temperature of the article is measured by the temperature measurement part 32, and temperature data are collected with identification information of the article.
