<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a structure for isolating a catalyst convertor 7 from engine rocking compatible with a structure for inducing EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) gas from the downstream side of the catalyst convertor 7. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust manifold 4 (flange 5) and the catalyst convertor 7 on the downstream side are relatively movably connected via a spherical joint 6 (a convex spherical surface 14a of a gasket 14 and a concave spherical surface 20a of a flare flange 20). An EGR taking-out port is provided on the downstream side of the catalyst convertor 7. An EGR passage toward an engine exhaust system from the EGR gas spout is passed through passages 24 and 25 formed in the spherical joint 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
