PURPOSE: An optical information recording method and an optical information recording medium are provided to irradiate a laser beam from a cover layer, and to form an aperture in a signal pit portion of a pigment recording layer during a recording process. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam is irradiated from a transparent sheet, to perform recording/reproducing processes for information. A width of an on-groove is between 50nm and 140nm. A barrier layer(40) is formed between the transparent sheet and a recording layer(30). A height of the on-groove is between 20nm and 50nm.
