摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rare-earth metal containing alloy thin sheet having the structure excellent in the uniformity by restraining the development of fine R-rich phase zone in the cast R-T-B base alloy block.

SOLUTION: A plurality of almost linear recessing and projecting parts are formed on a cast surface and the surface roughness given by almost linear recessing and projecting parts is made to be 3 μm -60 μm by the ten points-average roughness (Rz) and a rotating roll for casting, in which the extending direction of the recessing and projecting parts having ≥ 30% in the almost linear recessing and projecting parts is directed to the direction forming the angle of ≥ 30° to the rotating direction of the roll, is used.
