<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the recognition rate of line detection is decreased because printed information is seen through paper to a backside depending on the paper quality of a passbook, due to printing at the same printing density, in terms of an inkjet passbook printer. <P>SOLUTION: Test printing is done in the passbook for use with several kinds of densities (steps 63 and 65); the printing density, which enables the best image recognition and brings about easiness of reading, is selected by comparing a back see-through density, at which the printed information is seen through the paper from a back page and a preceding page to a printed page, with the density of the printed information (steps 66 and 67); and the printing density is maintained by the passbook printer 10 (step 69), so that the recognition rate of the line detection can be increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
