<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which enables high-speed switching operation and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device comprises a substrate 10, a piezoelectric element film 11 consisting of barium titanate, a source electrode 12 and a drain electrode 13 which are arranged on the piezoelectric element film 11, and a nanowire 15 which is connected between the source electrode 12 and the drain electrode 13 with a one-dimensional structure of serially connected molecules 14 of a phthalocyanine derivative and has electrical characteristics convertible from being conductive to insulative upon imposition of a stress. With a voltage being applied to the piezoelectric film 11, the piezoelectric film 11 extends crosswise to increase a distance between the source electrode 12 and the drain electrode 13 to impose a stress onto the nanowire 15, whereby the electronic device can be switched on/off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
