<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire having a marker, which is scarcely faded, with desired shape and dimension at a desired position and providing the further clear marker. <P>SOLUTION: This guide wire comprises a linear core material 2, a first resin layer 31 containing carbon fine particles and a second resin layer 32 positioned in its tip side. The position of the guide wire 1 can be endoscopically observed by the spiral visual recognition marker 5 provided on the surface 30 of the first resin layer 31.
