摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system serving as a hydrogen generator that uses organic hydride as raw material and can simultaneously generate hydrogen and electric power with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A power generation system 10 serving as a hydrogen generator includes an electrolyte membrane 20, an anode 30, and a cathode 40. The electrolyte membrane 20 has proton conductivity in a temperature range from more than 250°C to not more than 450°C. The anode 30 is supplied with an excessive amount of organic hydride as compared with an amount necessary for power generation. In the anode 30, dehydrogenation of the organic hydride proceeds, a part of obtained protons contributes to power generation, and extra protons are used to generate hydrogen. The cathode 40 is supplied with oxidant such as air or the like. A part of heat generated at the cathode 40 due to an overvoltage is conducted to the anode 30 via the electrolyte membrane 20, and heat absorption accompanying the dehydrogenation reaction of the organic hydride at the anode 30 is compensated by the heat generated by the power generation at the cathode 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
