<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type polarizing film laminated with a protective film having the protective film laminated in an easy state for inspection, and to provide a layered polarizing film having an absorption type polarizing film layered on the above reflection type polarizing film laminated with the protective film. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection type polarizing film 10 has a protective film 22 having ≤30 nm phase difference in the plane laminated on at least one surface of a reflection type polarizing film 21. A non-stretched film may be used for the protective film 22, or a film having a controlled phase difference in the plane by biaxial orientation may be used. The surface resistance of the protective film is preferably ≤1×10<SP>12</SP>Ω/ square. An absorption type polarizing film 23 is layered on the reflection type polarizing film 21 side of the reflection type polarizing film 10 laminated with the protective film to constitute a layered polarizing film 11.
