<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup battery pack for a computer, capable of making effective use of any other secondary battery than a lead battery in the same power supply unit and in particular, a nickel hydrogen battery. <P>SOLUTION: This backup battery pack for the computer, equipped with a secondary battery 3 for backing up the computer, by conducting charging with electric power from a commercial AC power supply 11 and conducting discharging in case of power failure, in a power supply unit F, having a driving circuit for operating the computer with the electric power supplied from the commercial AC power supply 11, uses secondary battery other than the lead battery as the secondary battery 3 and includes a boosting chopper circuit 4 for boosting discharged voltage from the secondary battery 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
