PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire for a vehicle is provided to prevent accidents from separation of the tire belt part against excessive stress concentration, and to reduce cost and weight by removing the full cap ply and the edge cap ply and integrally forming the streamlined edge. CONSTITUTION: A belt cord layer(4) is formed between a tread rubber layer(3) and a body ply(2) as a carcass cord layer in a pneumatic tire for a vehicle. The belt cord layer is composed of a first belt cord layer(4_a) and a second belt cord layer(4_b), and an edge part(10) from the edge of the second belt cord layer to the end of the first belt cord layer of the belt cord layer is integrally streamlined. The pneumatic tire includes an inner liner(1), an under tread rubber layer(7) and a base strip(8). The end of the belt cord layer is contacted to the base strip.
