<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of making generation of gas moderate in comparison with normal operation at the time of automatic operation of the gas generator when it is exposed to flame by providing a gas generating agent with a special feature and operating sound of which is quieter than the time of normal operation. <P>SOLUTION: This gas generating agent has, for example, a fuel component and an oxidant component as main components and has an additive added as desired, and it has either of the following special features.(a) When measurement of a heat-weight relation is carried out by using a heat-weight simultaneous measuring device, its weight reducing curve is a curve having more than two refracting points.(b) It is possible to make the gas generator moderate in generating the gas and quiet in the operating sound by charging the gas generating agent containing a low melting point compound in the gas generating agent components. Additionally, it is possible to infinitely adopt the fuel component, the oxidant component and the additive to be used as the gas generating agent suitable for this gas generator as long as they can be used for the gas generating agent to be used to operate a seat belt pretensioner and an air bag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
