PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for a plasma display panel in which picture quality is improved. SOLUTION: When an n-th frame having a first luminance weighted value and an (n+1)-th frame having a luminance weighted value which differs from the first luminance weighted value are alternatively arranged for every vertical synchronization signal in the driving method of the plasma display panel, at least either one of the frame interval of the n-th frame or the (n+1)-th frame is changeably set so that the intervals in which luminance is realized are equally set in the n-th frame and the (n+1)-th frame. Thus, vertical frame blank interval between the frames is maintained constant, light emission centers of the frames are agreed with each other, a flicker free state is realized and the luminance is improved.
