A cassette seal, particularly for machines that are severely affected by dus t or dirt particles from the environment and which have at least one heavy-duty dust seal between the outer ring and the inner ring whereby at least one dust seal (8, 9, 10, 17, 27) is formed using a piece of fleece (17, 27) impregnated with a polymer dispersion.
