<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact buffer manufacturable at low cost since harness protective materials are not required. <P>SOLUTION: A bumper 1 comprises a bumper face 2, wire harness 3, an absorber 4, and a reinforcement 5, and the wire harness 3 is mounted on a mounting rib 12 at the specified position of the bumper face 2. The absorber 4 is disposed between the bumper face 2 and the reinforcement 5 so that a recessed part 4b having an extension part 4c of such a structure that covers the front end edge part 5a of the reinforcement 5 comes into contact with the reinforcement 5. Since, even if the bumper face 2 and the absorber 4 are deformed, the wire harness 3 is not brought into direct contact with the reinforcement 5 by the extension part 4c of the absorber 4 between the wire harness 3 and an edge part 5a, the breakage of wire can be prevented.
