<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device which can automatically form characters to optimum sizes regardless of the distances from a user. <P>SOLUTION: The information display device is equipped with a distance measuring means 6 which measures the distance from a remote operated controller 5 and a control means which previously determines the optimum size of the character to be displayed in a character information display element 2B from a relation with the distance from the remote operated controller 5 and controls the optimum size X of the character displayed in the character information display element 2B based on the result of the measurement of the distance measuring means 6. The position of the remote operated controller 5 is the position for the user in viewing the information display device 1 and therefore even if the position where the user parts from the information display device 1 changes, the size X of the character is automatically controlled to the optimum size based on the distance R between the remote operated controller 5 and the information display device 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
